Marco de Morpurgo, Global Co-Chair of Life Sciences at DLA Piper, commented: “To improve on last year’s tally of five wins by bringing home eight this year is an incredible achievement. In addition, to have been shortlisted for a further 16 awards, more than any other law firm, is a real testament to the work that we do in helping our clients understand and solve the challenges that face them. Of particular note were the awards for Regulatory Firm of the Year, acknowledging the recent strengthening of our integrated global practice, which in the EMEA region covers the EU/EEA (and 22 member states therein), UK, UAE, GCC countries and 20 African countries. We also brought home Firm of the Year awards for both Italy and Ireland, all of which demonstrates how we are building a truly international, full service Life Sciences offering.”
Maura Dineen, DLA Piper’s Head of Life Sciences in Ireland, added: “Of the eight awards won, the team in Ireland were involved in three. Aoife Murphy, who joined us little over a year ago, took home both the SPC Litigator of the Year award and the Impact Case of the Year award. Topping these off with a win for Ireland Firm of the Year, as a relatively new team we are extremely proud of the recognition that we are receiving externally and the contribution we are making to the growing success and momentum of DLA Piper’s International Life Sciences sector group.”
Working across more than 50 jurisdictions, DLA Piper’s Life Sciences sector group combines legal and regulatory experience with deep knowledge of the sector, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotech, healthtech, clinical research services and the latest therapeutic innovations.
