DLA Piper advises Stantec on acquisition of ZETCON
DLA Piper has advised Stantec, a global provider of design and engineering consulting services, on the acquisition of ZETCON Engineering (ZETCON), an engineering firm headquartered in Bochum, Germany.
ZETCON has over 600 employees spread across 13 offices in Germany and is recognized as an industry leader in infrastructure design, project management and construction management. The engineering firm has extensive experience in bridge certification and assessment, project and construction management of tunnels, roads and rail infrastructure as well as building condition assessments, improvements and certifications. ZETCON’s national presence and expertise in the German market, combined with Stantec's global knowledge and expertise in water and power engineering, buildings, advanced manufacturing, and environmental services, will provide the opportunity to further diversify the business and grow in other sectors over time.
Stantec, headquartered in Canada and listed on the TSX and NYSE, provides architectural, construction management and environmental services. The acquisition of ZETCON will enable Stantec to expand its presence in Europe and create a platform for long-term growth.
The acquisition is expected to close in January 2024.
