Alberto Rubio is the Head of DLA Piper Argentina's Litigation and Employment Law Department. Mr. Rubio is an expert on labor law, litigation, bankruptcy and restructurings. He has been involved in some of the most notable debt restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings taking place in Argentina. Alberto Rubio is the Head of DLA Piper Argentina's Litigation and Employment Law Department. Mr. Rubio is an expert on labor law, litigation, bankruptcy and restructurings. He has been involved in some of the most notable debt restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings taking place in Argentina. He regularly meets with practitioners, scholars and members of the judiciary who are analyzing new developments in his fields of expertise, which allows him to be up-to date with all new legal developments in court and out of court precedents. He pursued postgraduate courses on the matters of his expertise and participates in conferences. He is member of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires and of the Province of Santa Fe. Mr. Rubio has extensive experience in rendering advice to local and foreign clients.

As the head of DLA Piper Argentina's Labor and Employment Law department Mr. Rubio is experienced in non-contentious practice, advising clients on the complete range of matters, from general labor, redundancy programs, social security matters, planning and strategy to restructuring, collective bargaining and negotiations with unions and the government. 

Mr. Rubio also has extensive experience in labor litigation and has participated in several of the largest, most complex and high-profile cases in Argentina in recent years. He represents clients before all levels of the courts and has a strong experience representing companies before the Labor Ministry. Mr Rubio also led compliance and internal investigation matters for important clients in Argentina and recently participated in an investigation for one of the largest business conglomerates in Argentina in connection with the so-called "notebook scandal". Alberto is fluent in Spanish and English.
