DLA Piper Canada welcomes associate Ishita Kashyap

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Ishita Kashyap to the firm’s Toronto office in the Capital Markets ‎group. ‎

Ishita is an experienced capital markets lawyer with a practice focused on corporate finance, mergers ‎and acquisitions and general corporate transactions. Prior to joining DLA Piper, she was an associate at ‎a leading Canadian business law firm. Earlier in her career, Ishita practiced capital markets law at a full ‎service national law firm in New Delhi, India for several years. ‎

As part of her securities and corporate finance practice, Ishita advises private and public clients on a ‎variety of matters including private placements, stock exchange listings, reverse takeovers, corporate ‎governance and ongoing public company compliance. In India, Ishita represented global issuers, ‎underwriters and selling security holders on a wide range of securities and business law matters including ‎domestic and foreign initial public offerings and equity and debt financing transactions. Many of these ‎transactions involved novel ‎features and creative pathways through India’s securities laws.‎
