Alicia Pull practises in the areas of commercial disputes, insurance, and regulatory issues. She has a particular focus on complex commercial, construction and project disputes as well as professional services disputes.

Alicia’s clients include insurers, corporations and individuals from the construction, infrastructure, energy and professional sectors. She has acted for both Australian and International clients in many types of matters ranging from domestic claims to high-value complex disputes as well as providing commercial, regulatory and coverage advice.

Alicia regularly appears in state and federal courts in connection with contested and non-contested matters, attends to case management processes, as well as represents clients in adjudications, alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation, and as instructing solicitor at trial.

EXPERIENCE

  • Acted for an Australian engineering company in relation to claims arising from the construction of a gas processing facility in central Queensland.
  • Acted for an EPC contractor in international arbitrations, successfully defending EPC contractor against multiple high quantum adjudications brought against it by subcontractors.
  • Acting for a barrister in malicious prosecution proceedings in the Western Australian Supreme Court.
  • Acting for corporate entities in relation to ownership of intellectual property rights and whether there has been breach of retainers related to the protection and commercialisation of those property rights in the Western Australian Supreme Court.
  • Acting for an electricity network operator in the Western Australia Supreme Court in relation to tortious, contractual and consumer law claims against an international supplier. 
  • Acting for a local government authority in relation to landslip issues.
  • Acting for an electricity network operator in response to a catastrophic injury claim in the Western Australian Supreme Court.
  • Acting for financial service providers responding to claims made against them to Australian Financial Complaints Authority.
  • Acting for an underground mining operator in relation to a personal injury claim made against it arising out of an accident that occurred underground.
