Bahrain Lower House approves Double Tax Treaty with UAE

On 3 December 2024, the Bahraini Council of Representatives approved the Double Tax Treaty (DTT) with the UAE, which was signed on 11 February of the same year. The DTT has been sent to the Shura Council for approval. We will report on further developments as they occur.

Saudi Arabia and Kuwait sign Double Tax Treaty

On 4 December 2024, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have signed a DTT in Riyadh. Further developments will be reported as they occur. 

Saudi Arabia and Iceland sign Double Tax Treaty

On 4 December 2024, Saudi Arabia and Iceland have signed a DTT in Riyadh. We will report on further developments as they occur. 

Saudi Arabia and Croatia sign Double Tax Treaty

On 4 December 2024, Saudi Arabia and Croatia have signed a DTT in Riyadh. A previously initialed DTT between the countries (of 2017) is herewith considered abandoned. Further developments will be reported as they occur. 

Oman ratifies Double Tax Treaty with Ireland 

By Royal Decree No. 60/2024, Oman ratified the DTT with Ireland on 19 November 2024. We will report on further developments as they occur.

The GCC Member States continue expanding and updating their Double Tax Treaty networks for the benefit of international businesses
