Be part of the team

From day one you are part of a team doing meaningful work for our clients. You will be integrated into one of our core practice groups and supported by lawyers who are invested in your growth and development. Through fun social and community activities, you will also have plenty of opportunities to get to know the summer associates and lawyers in your local office.

Summer Academy – Orlando

Training and development

During our 10-week summer associate program, you will participate in a series of training and development opportunities to acquire the skills you’ll need as you launch your legal career. The highlight of the summer associate program is the 2.5-day in-person event where you’ll have a chance to hear from and meet DLA Piper’s senior leaders, participate in learning sessions and make connections that will last beyond the summer.

Giving back

When you join DLA Piper you will have the opportunity to give back. This may include taking part in one of the clinical offerings centered around immigration, or preparing restraining orders for victims of domestic violence. You may join colleagues as you volunteer preparing food for families or sorting donations at a food bank. You can make an impact.

Through the Krantz Fellowship, we annually select two new associates to spend their first year at the firm working exclusively on pro bono matters. We created the fellowship in honor of Sheldon Krantz, a former partner and founding director of New Perimeter.
