Campos Mellos Advogados advises Maha Energy on merging with 3R Petroleum

Campos Mello Advogados (CMA), in cooperation with DLA Piper, advised Maha group and its subsidiary Maha Energy, a Brazilian oil and gas company, in merging with 3R Petroleum Óleo e Gás S.A. (3R), a major player in the Brazilian oil and gas industry.

The merger of Maha Holding is one of the conditions for the merger of Enauta, another major Brazilian oil and gas company, by 3R, aiming to create one of the leading independent companies in the Latin American oil and gas chain, with a diversified and balanced portfolio, as well as high growth potential.

The transaction was led by partner Camila Caetano (Rio de Janeiro) from the Corporate and M&A team, and involved Alex Jorge (Sao Paolo), partner and co-head of Tax in Brazil and co-leader of the Tax Practice in Latin America at DLA Piper, along with associates Nathalie Haddad and Juliana Delfino (both in Rio de Janeiro) from the Corporate and M&A team as well as partner Juliana Costa and associate Laura Kurth (both in Rio de Janeiro), from the Tax team.
