Timothy Pfenninger concentrates his practice on complex commercial, class action, and multi-district litigation. He has significant experience representing domestic and foreign vehicle and component part manufacturers and distributors in state and federal court.  Timothy also represents clients across industries in complex commercial and product liability actions, and represents US and International clients in civil and criminal investigations. Timothy has counseled these clients through all phases of litigation including merits and jurisdictional discovery, dispositive motions practice, and trial.

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and before joining DLA Piper, Timothy served as a law clerk to Judge A. Richard Caputo on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

  • Defended global real estate company in a trial seeking recovery for allegations of fraud related to a multi-million dollar foreign investment
  • Prosecuted federal litigation to recover funds invested in a multi-billion dollar real estate Ponzi scheme

Pro Bono

Timothy's pro bono practice focuses on issues related to juvenile justice and criminal justice reform. For example, he is currently representing a juvenile sentenced to life in prison without parole as he seeks a new sentence in accord with the United States Supreme Court's decision in Miller v. Alabama (2012).
