Sydney Kert named a 2024 Lexpert Rising Star
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is pleased to announce that Sydney Kert from the firm's Toronto office has been named a 2024 Lexpert Rising Star.
A key member of the Capital Markets Group, Sydney has been instrumental in assisting startups, mid-size companies and large publicly traded companies with complex domestic and cross-border transactions. She has extensive experience representing both issuers and investment dealers in a variety of matters, including public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities, going public transactions, as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Sydney has shown great initiative in supporting innovative and exciting business programs designed for emerging companies looking to grow their businesses. Among other things, she is a contributor to Canadian startup incubator DMZ’s programs and initiatives, leading legal clinics and other hands-on training, including programs supporting international growth-stage startups and women entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds and industries.
