DLA Piper to relocate to Palo Alto’s Stanford Research Park

DLA Piper today announced it will relocate its Palo Alto office to 3223 Hanover Street in Palo Alto’s Stanford Research Park. The move will enable the firm to further drive its adoption of a “high performance flexibility” strategy in the use of its offices.

Stanford Research Park is home to more than 150 companies, including HP Inc, Tesla Motors and VMware. The firm expects to relocate in June 2023.

“DLA Piper has long been a part of the Silicon Valley community, and our move to what is one of the most storied technological hubs in the world signals our ongoing commitment to the region and the clients we serve here,” said Victoria Lee, managing partner of DLA Piper’s Silicon Valley office.

The office building, completed in 2021, mixes metal and wood architecture and features full-pane glass windows that allow an abundance of natural light.

“The way people work has changed, and this space is a reflection of those changes,” said Carrie Williamson, deputy managing partner of the firm’s Silicon Valley office. “It’s an innovative space that will facilitate collaboration for those who are in the office, and it will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology to enable virtual work with clients and colleagues around the world.”

With extensive experience in technology, clean tech, life sciences and other areas, the firm’s Silicon Valley lawyers advise corporations as well as financial institutions and venture capitalists on general corporate matters and transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, public offerings of debt and equity, private equity, intellectual property licensing and product distribution, and domestic and international employee benefits and equity compensation.

In this transaction, DLA Piper was represented by CBRE and the office will be designed by Gensler.
