Leading IP strategists and renowned patent lawyers Raymond Miller, Nicole Endejann and Joseph Helmsen join DLA Piper’s award-winning Intellectual Property and Technology practice and Life Sciences sector

DLA Piper announced today that Raymond Miller, Nicole Endejann and Joseph Helmsen have joined the firm’s industry-renowned Intellectual Property and Technology (IPT) practice and Life Sciences sector as partners. The team has worked together for nearly 20 years and has been recognized in the industry as among the 300 World Leading IP Strategists and among the World’s 1000 best patent practitioners by IAM Media, the definitive resource that identifies world-class, private practice patent expertise.

The group focuses on IP strategies that address complex intellectual property issues that arise in transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, the group negotiates licenses, transfer agreements and assignments. Miller, Endejann and Helmsen counsel clients on strategic intellectual property issues in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, medical device, IT, digital health and food science areas. They also prepare and prosecute patent applications related to new chemical entities, pharmaceutical formulations and biologics, as well as implantable medical devices, digital therapeutics and software, chemical processes and catalysts, and they are well versed in the interplay of patent and regulatory exclusivity for pharmaceuticals and biologics.
