Complex investigations can be daunting, with multiple threads, conflicting evidence and high stakes. Our expert panel will share practical strategies for navigating the most challenging aspects of complex investigations such as, developing an investigation plan with a clear objective and scope, having updated policies and procedures in place, maintaining privilege, collecting, processing, and analyzing data under a chain of custody, reporting and considerations in multi-jurisdictional investigations.

Modern slavery is a critical issue in supply chains within Canada and globally. This session will cover an overview of Canada’s Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act, along with practical insights from its first year of implementation, a review of the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape beyond Canada, and best practices for developing a global strategy to mitigate modern slavery risks and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
