Germana Cassar advises Italian and international financial institutions and investors on administrative law matters related to the electricity sector (including the generation of electricity from renewable resources, supply and distribution of electricity and gas, sanctioning proceedings, energy efficiency and User Efficiency Systems, energy-saving facilities, white certificates, public incentive from GSE and European incentives),as well as in the public procurement, environmental, town planning, expropriation and pharmaceutical areas.

She has gained consolidated experience in dealing with contentious matters in the above mentioned areas, before the Regional Administrative Courts, Council of State, High Court of Public Waters, Supreme Court and Civil Courts.

She has advised clients on a number of project financing transactions, under a limited recourse basis, for the construction and management of wind farms and plants for the generation of electricity from renewable resources (such as photovoltaic, biomass and bio gas), as well as plants for the construction of integrated waste management system in the South of Italy and public sewage treatment plants, the latter advised also on administrative law and project contracts matters.

Furthermore, she advises Italian and international clients operating in the real estate sector in relation to the development, construction, acquisition and financing of large logistic and commercial centers.

Finally, Germana supports Italian clients operating abroad as well as international clients operating in Italy in the pharmaceutical sector in relation to their participation to public tenders - i.e. drafting of the documentation as well as accuracy of the authorization process and controls. She advises on expropriation procedures for public use, providing assistance in drafting documents for the execution of the procedures and payment of compensation. Germana is admitted to represent clients before the Supreme Court.
