About

Troy Valdez is an employment law advisor, litigator and trial advocate. He guides employers through the full range of human resource matters, ranging from wage-and-hour class actions, founder and executive disputes, breach of contract actions, whistleblower and other retaliation claims to discrimination and harassment, and traditional labor arbitrations. Troy also prosecutes and defends trade secret misappropriation and corporate raiding suits. Troy's practice involves guiding clients through complex employment decisions and strategies to avoid litigation, and to be in the best situation to defend clients, when litigation cannot be avoided.

In addition to his decades as litigation and trial counsel, Troy advises on wage-and-hour compliance programs, the creation and implementation of employee and workplace policies, the negotiation of executive recruitment and terminations, the implementation of legally compliant reductions in force and other cost-saving measures, and employee compensation, leaves, discipline and terminations. He also guides employers through the employment issues that may arise in merger and acquisition transactions.
