About
Naomi Moore focuses her practice on cross-border insolvency and restructuring, special situations, distressed debt and private credit.  She has worked on transactions and cases across multiple jurisdictions throughout the Asia-Pacific region and has experience in a wide range of sectors, including but not limited to energy and resources, real estate, aviation and retail. 

Naomi represents investment funds, creditors’ committees, insolvency office-holders, debtors and other stakeholders in restructurings, insolvency procedures and distressed situations.  She also assists investment fund clients and other financial institutions with private lending and other credit transactions. 

Naomi is Co-Chair of the firm’s global restructuring practice and also leads the firm’s restructuring practice across Asia Pacific.  

Asia Pacific Legal 500 notes that Naomi is ‘a very experienced and hands-on lawyer, with broad knowledge of both restructuring and finance. She is easy to work with, collaborative and commercial.’ She has also been described in Chambers & Partners Asia Pacific Guide as "highly respected in the Hong Kong market".

EXPERIENCE

  • Represented the voluntary administrators of Australia’s second largest airline, Virgin Australia Holdings Limited (Administrators Appointed), as special noteholder liaison counsel to liaise with holders of various tranches of notes in excess of AUD1.9 billion.*
  • Represented an ad hoc committee of holders of USD420 million of notes issues by China Singyes Solar Technologies, a Bermuda incorporated HKSE listed Chinese provider of renewable energy solutions in connection with its note restructuring through parallel schemes of arrangement in Bermuda and Hong Kong.*
  • Advised an ad hoc committee of noteholders of USD senior notes issued by a large Chinese multinational conglomerate in relation to an event of default and potential restructuring.*
  • Represented a steering committee of noteholders in the restructuring of USD309 million of notes issued by Winsway Enterprises Holdings Limited, an HKSE-listed and British Virgin Islands company with a coal processing and trading business in China via parallel schemes of arrangement in the BVI and Hong Kong and chapter 15 recognition in the United States.*
  • Advised an Asian-based asset management company on a USD115 million notes issuance and intercompany financing.*
