Meera Midha focuses her practice on the legal issues arising at the intersection of law and technology as a patent litigator.
Meera has experience across multiple patent litigation venues, including district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Meera’s practice focuses broadly on high technology and life sciences, with specific trial experience in disciplines involving computer science, mechanical engineering, software, pharmaceutical compounds, wireless connectivity, and electronic devices.
Meera’s broad technical background gives her a unique level of versatility and enables her to understand the complex issues at play in patent litigation matters, while her prior business experience gives her a unique insight into the business implications of her legal work. Meera is ideally positioned as a patent litigator to utilize her background to drive success on her cases.
Meera received her law degree from Harvard Law School, where she contributed to the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology, Harvard Business Law Review, the Berkman Klein Center’s Cyberlaw Clinic, and the Harvard CHLPI’s Health Law and Policy Clinic. She also holds an MS from Harvard Medical School and a BS in Bioengineering, summa cum laude, from UCLA. Her technical and research experience spans biomedical engineering, biochemistry, electrical engineering, lasers, optics, data analytics, microbiology, genomics, chemical engineering, clinical trials, and medical devices.
Prior to joining DLA Piper, Meera advised Fortune 500 companies on business transformation matters related to data analytics, data-driven metrics, and organizational change.
