Ignacio Bard focuses his legal practice on Corporate Law, Project Finance, Venture Capital and Private Equity. He graduated in 2017 from Universidad de La Plata – Faculty of Juridical and Social Sciences. Prior to starting his career as a lawyer, he got a Master’s degree in International Politics from the Lomonosov State University in Moscow Russia. After that he engaged in legal practice, working for a boutique law firm and as In-House Counsel for an Argentinean Meat Company. In May 2022 he got his LLM degree from the University of Virginia – School of Law. Ignacio was recognized by TTR Data Annual Report as #2 Rising Star Dealmaker in Argentina in M&A, Venture Capital and Asset Acquisitions in 2023. He is admitted to practice in New York, in addition to Argentina.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advised Roxom Ltd., a trading platform priced in Bitcoin, on its $4.3 million pre-seed funding round, and its securities regulations aspects in US and cross borders. 
  • Advised Roxom TV, a multimedia company focused on cryptocurrencies, regarding the security regulations appliable to the company’s activities in U.S., Argentina, and Crossborders.
  • Karvi. Advised in the acquisition of Curbo´s Techbology stack series B financing and on its series B follow on financing
  • Fibrazo. Avised in its Financing, raising $5 million in funding.
  • Warc Group LLC. advised on the close of its $7,5 million Series B financing, its financing and endeavors in Ghana.
  • Advised in the buying, on October 2 of 2023, of Aditi Consulting LLC, a technology and management solutions provider with strong service capabilities across Latin America, US, Canada and India by Aditi Consulting LLC, a leading consultancy that connects talent, teams, and technology solutions to help our clients accelerate their digital journey.
  • DLA Piper Argentina advised CIVC Partners and its portfolio company Allata, a strategy, architecture and enterprise-level application development company focused on helping clients enhance or scale business opportunities; on the cross-border acquisition of 3XM Group, a company that develops quality software solutions, particularly Cloud Computing, Security, Software Product Dev, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, AI, and Data Analytics, with presence in Argentina and the USA. 
  • Elysian Strategic Marketing Inc. advised on the acquisition, of all the assets (including clients, contractors, IP, among others) of Gonni,
  • Advised in the acquisition of encompass. 
  • Advised on the sale of their portfolio company Avenga, a global IT business focused on developing and maintaining IT systems, including its subsidiary IncluIT.
  • Advised on the cross-border capital restructuring, split-off, and later equity financing of Enerbine Corp., a sustainable energy production company. 
  • Advised Milwoodh LLC, a leading energy and green infrastructure development company, on its incorporation, and financing rounds. Advised Milwoodh LLC on its negotiations with green ammonia off takers, and potential green hydrogen generated power purchasers. Advised Milwoodh LLC on Securities aspects of certain projects carried over by the Company. 
  • Advised Eco News Inc., a multimedia company, on its financing round.

Ignacio frequently contributes his time and expertise to Pro-Bono initiatives focused on refugee protection, in partnership with DLA offices and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Additionally, he has provided translation services for the Charlottesville's Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA Piper Argentina, Ignacio Bard gained experience as a junior associate at a boutique law firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This position allowed him to work across various legal domains, including Corporate Law, Contracts Law, International Law, and more, providing him with a well-rounded understanding of different areas of law.
