Marcell Nemeth appointed as New Head of Finance Practice at DLA Piper in Austria

DLA Piper announces that Dr. Marcell M. Németh, LL.M, has been appointed as Head of the Finance Practice for DLA Piper Austria with immediate effect.

With over 25 years experience in banking and capital markets law, Marcell will follow in the footsteps of his renowned predecessor Dr. Oskar Winkler who has held the role for more than ten years.

Marcell, who joined DLA Piper in January 2024 from Wolf Theiss, has advised a range of Austrian and international clients on a wide range of complex financial matters, including lending, infrastructure projects, regulatory and other banking transactions such as acquisitions and loan portfolios. His areas of focus include English-law project and corporate finance in Central and Eastern Europe, with a focus on the banking, infrastructure and fossil and renewable energy sectors. In the energy sector, Marcell Németh represents lenders and sponsors as well as real estate and other funds and investors (equity or mezzanine debt funders).
