DLA Piper advises Polenergia on its EUR169 million public share offering
DLA Piper has advised Polenergia, Poland’s largest privately owned, vertically integrated energy group, on the largest issuance of new shares on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2023, worth EUR169 million.
As part of the offering, 10,416,667 new shares will be issued, allowing Polenergia to raise PLN750 million (approximately EUR169 million) to finance investment projects and development plans. These include further development of offshore and onshore wind farms, photovoltaic farms, and projects involving hydrogen technology, energy storage, and electromobility.
A team from DLA Piper’s Warsaw office worked on the matter and was led by partner in the firm’s Corporate practice, Jakub Domalik-Plakwicz. He was supported by counsels Wojciech Kalinowski and Marek Kłeczek, associate Arkadiusz Karwala, and junior associate Dominik Mizerski.
