DLA Piper advises Panattoni on the construction of the third Fortaco plant in Poland

The law firm DLA Piper has advised Panattoni, a leader in the European industrial real estate market, on a project related to the construction of Fortaco Group's third plant in Poland, located at the intersection of the A1 and A4 motorways in Knurów (southern Poland).

Fortaco Group is a Finnish manufacturer of assemblies, vehicle cabins and steel structures. The company processes 80,000 tonnes of steel per year and employs 2,800 people at factories in Asia and Europe.

The Knurów plant will benefit from tax exemptions within the Katowice Special Economic Zone. The planned area of the investment will be 34,000 sqm. and will create 250 new jobs. Construction work will start in the coming months, with production launch scheduled for mid-2024.

The strategic location of the investment will allow for excellent connections within the Silesian agglomeration, as well as becoming a key supplier to other Fortaco factories in Central Europe. In addition, the consolidation of supplies in one location will reduce environmental impact and minimise production losses.

DLA Piper Poland’s advisory team was composed of Anna Bodzioch and Mikołaj Zenkiewicz. Partner supervision of the project was provided by Agnieszka Lehwark.

We would like to thank Panattoni for their trust in delivering another project!
