DLA Piper partner Melanie Walker named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2023 Leaders of Influence: Litigators and Trial Attorneys list

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that partner Melanie Walker has been named for the second consecutive year to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s annual Leaders of Influence: Litigators and Trial Attorneys list, which honors the top litigators in the region.

Walker, who serves as co-chair of DLA Piper’s Corporate and Securities Litigation practice and head of the Los Angeles Litigation group, was recognized for tackling “novel issues in the securities litigation space and beyond,” as well as her role in recent cutting-edge litigation related to special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs).

In her practice, Walker handles securities litigation, accountant’s liability, and business and shareholder disputes involving complex economic and accounting issues. She also has experience representing clients in bankruptcy-related litigation and advising clients on how to avoid litigation before it is filed. She has handled matters in federal and state trial and appellate courts across the country and in private arbitration.
