DLA Piper legal director wins ‘Rising Star in Law’ at second British Sikh Awards

8 June 2023: DLA Piper’s Satnam Sahota, legal director in the Intellectual Property and Technology (IPT) practice in the firm’s Birmingham office, has won the ‘Rising Star in Law’ at the second edition of the British Sikh Awards. Nominations for the award were received from across the country and winners of each category chosen after a vote by their peers and review by a specialist panel.

The British Sikh Awards is an annual event that celebrates the achievements and contributions of Sikhs in various fields, from business and academia, to arts and community service. The 2023 edition of the awards was held on Wednesday, 31 May at the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport NEC.

Satnam is an experienced IPT specialist providing both litigious and non-litigious advice across all strands of the practice, ranging from drafting intellectual property-sharing licensing arrangement, dealing with pre-action negotiations on trademark disputes, and running Patent Court proceedings. He is particularly experienced in the sports and retail sector.
