DLA Piper and COMSYS Training Seminar

Satellite Communications for Non-Technical Professionals

A Two-Day Face-to-Face Event, 26 and 27 March 2025

DLA Piper
160 Aldersgate St
City of London
London EC1A 4HT

We are pleased to announce the forthcoming training seminar on “Satellite Communications for Non-Technical Professionals” which will be held at our offices in London on the 26 and 27 March, led by Jeremy Rose, Partner at COMSYS LLP. COMSYS is a leading satellite communications consulting firm with whom DLA Piper has worked in the past on a number of satellite-related engagements.

Guest speakers include Christian Keogh from DLA Piper’s Telecoms and Technology Group (covering legal and regulatory aspects), plus senior representatives from Marsh Space Projects (space insurance), Astroscale (in-orbit servicing, debris removal and space sustainability) and Portland Advisers (space sector finance). Andrew Jordan (previously CEO at GE Satellites and AsiaSat) will close the event with a light-hearted review of his many years in the satcomms industry and, more importantly, his view of the future of the space sector.

The satellite communications industry has undergone remarkable transformation over the past few years. The emergence of NGSO (Non-Geostationary) networks like Starlink and Kuiper has disrupted traditional geostationary operators, while the introduction of Direct-to-Device services promises to bring even more groundbreaking changes in the years ahead. Additionally, challenges around orbital resource management and debris removal are becoming critical to ensuring the long-term sustainability of space activities.

More information, and registration / payment details are available at COMSYS or via email.
