About

Chris concentrates his practice in the areas of e-commerce, information technology, open source software and intellectual property protection, licensing and commercialization. 

Chris’ experience includes drafting and negotiating software licenses and software as a service, reseller, VAR, distribution, supply and sales representative agreements; advising companies on open source licensing issues and conducting open source due diligence reviews; and representing private and public companies in intellectual property matters related to mergers and acquisitions transactions.  Chris specializes in open source software and artificial intelligence matters and advises large corporations, startups and open source foundations on open source and AI issues.

Bylines

Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Christopher was an associate in the Boston office of a national law firm, where, in addition to his technology licensing practice, he advised emerging and established companies on diverse matters, including venture capital financings, asset and stock purchases, commercial transactions and securities law compliance.  Prior to law school, Chris had a nine year career in information technology and leverages that strong technical background in his work for his current clients.
