Martin Nichols is a transactional lawyer in the Corporate and Finance group, with extensive experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, venture and corporate capital financing transactions, strategic transactions, and general corporate matters. He is a member of the firm's Healthcare, Technology and Life Sciences Sectors and provides advice to private and public companies, investors, owners and entrepreneurs.

Martin has managed transactions for both private and public clients in a wide variety of industries, among them medical device, software, healthcare, life sciences, internet and telecommunications industries. He advises clients from both the company/seller and investor/buyer perspectives.

Martin has structured transactions in a variety of forms, including mergers, recapitalizations, joint ventures, licensing arrangements common and preferred stock financings, debt issuances, asset sales and stock sales (public and private).

Martin guest lectures negotiation and business classes at Stanford, BYU, the UC Berkeley School of Law, the University of Utah and the University of San Diego School of Law.
