Siân Croxon
She/herConsultantSiân Croxon is a consultant attached to the firm’s Responsible Business Group. Before her retirement from the partnership she was a longstanding member of the Intellectual Property group in the London office. Siân spent her professional career with the firm having joined on qualification. Whilst practising she specialised in all aspects of Intellectual Property and her work was both contentious and non-contentious. She helped establish the firm’s advertising practise which has grown substantially over recent years to be a recognised area of expertise globally.
Shortly before stepping down from the partnership and full time practise Siân participated in the New Perimeter course run at the University of Zambia in Lusaka teaching legal writing. Following retirement she joined the RB team in a consultancy role. Her first project was undertaking a review for the board of the long running secondment to the government of Timor L’Este assessing its impact and the various aspects of the programme identifying areas that had been successful and others needing further work.
Other roles in which Siân has been engaged include supporting the Global Scholarship Programme with a period on its board and assisting with interviewing applicants from various countries most recently Senegal. She has undertaken a review of another long running New Perimeter project operated in conjunction with the East African Development Bank offering training to East African government lawyers.The review considered ways to adapt and develop the programme to meet the firm’s future commitments. Her most recent review relates to the firm's New Perimeter project supporting Georgia in building the country's capacity to enable them to participate in the UNFCCC process independent of supporting representation.
Siân supports the team running the firm’s innovative Know Your Rights programme as it grows and expands in both scope and jurisdictionally. She also hosts a regular team call where information about work assignments are exchanged and ideas for new projects shared.
Having been with the firm for so long Siân is able to support and be part of a young and enthusiastic team who provide exceptional work on projects and initiatives across the board using her knowledge and understanding of the firm and its history to help give a perspective and framework to some of their projects.
