DLA Piper wins at the targetjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2022

DLA Piper has won in the Best Social Mobility Strategy and Best On-boarding Experience categories at the targetjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2022.

The awards are the largest early careers recruitment awards in the UK, celebrating employers across all industries and sectors who offer the best early careers recruitment and development activities.

The Best Social Mobility Strategy award recognises the strength of the firm’s widening participation approach to targeting, attracting and recruiting students from lower socio-economic groups across DLA Piper’s Early Careers programmes. The judges praised their “very concise and very clear strategy and objectives”.

The Best On-boarding Experience award was decided by student judges in a rigorous process and recognises the quality of the firm’s internationally consistent new joiner experience for its graduates and apprentices across the UK, Ireland, Dubai and Hong Kong.

The firm was also shortlisted in the Most Popular Graduate Recruiter in Law category.

Charles Severs, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, and Executive Sponsor of the International Graduate Programme at DLA Piper, said:

“Achieving this external recognition for our early careers programmes is a brilliant achievement for the firm. We strive to ensure that a person’s start in life does not determine the type of job they go into and the success they have in their career. We seek to ensure that through our student recruitment efforts, each student or graduate joining us on one of our early careers programmes has an equal opportunity to succeed and shine. We continue to diversify the route to qualification through introducing alternative career paths, and look forward to welcoming our second intake of solicitor apprentices to the firm later this year. Students and graduates are the future of our firm and are of critical importance to our culture and success and I am delighted that our early careers team has been recognised for the wonderful programmes it runs.”
