About

Sue Zabloudil advises national and international real estate owners, developers and investors on transactions throughout the US, handling the acquisition, disposition, development, financing, joint venture structuring, sale leaseback and ground leasing of all property types. She also provides an extensive range of services to hospitality, lodging and lifestyle companies, including advising on single asset and portfolio purchase and sales, development, operations and regulatory matters.  

She has experience working with lenders and borrowers on all asset classes and in a variety of financing and debt mechanisms, including acquisition, construction, permanent, mezzanine, CMBS and preferred equity. Sue also handles a broad range of leasing matters on behalf of owners and tenants, such as the negotiation of ground leases and traditional leases for a wide variety of uses, including restaurant and retailer chains.

  • Represented a hospitality REIT on multiple acquisitions in Florida, including one of the largest single-asset acquisitions in recent years
  • Represented one of the world’s largest hotel and hospitality companies in its US$27 million acquisition
  • Represented a US subsidiary in multiple US trophy office building acquisitions throughout the United States, including structured financing across the capital stack
  • Represented a Spanish family office on multiple acquisitions of industrial, office and mixed-use projects
  • Represented a Mexican family office on multiple acquisitions and financings of first-class, single-tenant projects, with globally recognized tenants in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the US

  • Represented a hotel and resort company in the acquisition of a resort hotel in St. Pete Beach, Florida
  • Represented a national owner of dealerships in the sale leaseback of more than 60 properties throughout the Central and Southeastern Regions of the US
  • Represented a private equity company on the acquisition of industrial business operations and the subsequent sale leaseback of its industrial facilities
  • Represented a private equity company on its acquisition of multiple grocery store operations, including the sale leaseback thereof throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and Washington
  • Represented a franchisee company in the acquisition of 278 fast food restaurant locations, which established it as the largest owner of locations globally
  • Represented an affiliate of a publicly traded Malaysian company, in the acquisition of the 14-acre property in Miami for a proposed mixed-use project including a major hotel, conference facilities, retail and other resort amenities with an estimated project development cost at US$3.7 billion
  • Represented a conglomerate company in leasing and development matters relating to the US$1 billion city center, mixed-use project in downtown Miami
  • Represented a company and its subsidiaries in the acquisition, development, leasing and financing of its office, aviation, warehouse and retail leasing project, including negotiations with the county, FAA and various ground leases, and non-ground lease, including a 500,000 square-foot US Postal Service Class A regional distribution center facility and a 10-acre automobile dealership
  • Represented a company and its affiliates in the acquisition and disposition of vacant and multi-family properties in Las Vegas
  • Represented a private company in the disposition of 15-acres of land and development rights to a public company
  • Represented a global financial institution with respect to distressed real estate dispositions
  • Represented a portfolio company and the nation's largest dedicated laser hair removal provider on real estate matters in its sale to a strategic buyer in excess of US$170 million

  • Represented corporate clients in stock, equity, merger and asset transactions in real estate matters
  • Represented an insurance company in the restructuring of a US$245 million loan and the ultimate sale of a condominium hotel unit project
  • Represented a hospitality group in the acquisition, financing and development of its hotel in Jacksonville, Florida
  • Representing a real estate developer in the acquisition of equity interests in a hotel in Las Vegas and refinancing transactions associated therewith
  • Represented a family-owned business group in its acquisition and financing an office complex in Houston, including structured financing involving a combination of debt with BBVA lenders in the US and in Spain and equity contributions
  • Representing a New York domestic business corporation and its subsidiaries in multiple single-tenant retail and industrial properties throughout the Eastern Region
  • Representing a real estate developer in its joint venture purchase and related debt financing of a 24-property industrial, office and retail portfolio located in 12 states for US$224 million from a California-based real estate development and management company
