DLA Piper announces Fanny Combourieu as Country Managing Partner in France

Global law firm DLA Piper today announces Fanny Combourieu as Country Managing Partner (CMP) for France, effective 1 November 2024. Fanny succeeds Philippe Danesi following his appointment to the firm's Executive Committee as Joint Managing Director for Europe, a role shared with Daphne Bens based in Amsterdam.

A tax lawyer for over 20 years, Fanny joined DLA Piper’s Paris office in 2018 and has developed strong expertise in tax law, particularly in structuring private equity, infrastructure, and real estate transactions for clients in in the fund and asset management industry.

Since taking over as CMP in 2021, Philippe has significantly increased turn-over and profitability, reshaped operations, strengthened practices and sectors with the appointment of multiple new partners and deep collaboration with the International firm as well and promoted positive working environment and D&I to best serve our clients.

I will draw on my experience at DLA Piper both as an elected member of the international and local board and as head of the tax in practice in Paris.

As a result of her appointment as Country Managing Partner for France, Fanny is stepping down from the board of DLA Piper to which she was elected two years ago.
