DLA Piper advises Xperi on the USD42.7 million sale of its Autosense business to Tobii AB

DLA Piper has advised Xperi Inc., a multinational company focused on consumer technology and connected cars, on the USD42.7 million sale of AutoSense, its in-cabin safety business which delivers Driver Monitoring System (DMS) and Occupant Monitoring System (OMS) solutions to Tobii AB, an eye tracking and attention computing company based in Sweden listed on the Stockholm Nasdaq exchange. In addition to the automotive-related assets, Tobii will also acquire general computer vision and image processing technologies as part of the transaction.

Xperi invents, develops, and delivers technologies that enable extraordinary experiences. The sale will enable Xperi to further streamline its business and enhance strategic focus and investments on entertainment markets, positioning the business to generate the strongest returns.

A multi-sector team from DLA Piper’s Ireland office spanning Corporate, Tax, IPT, Real Estate and Employment helped to steer the transaction.
