Zach Rosenbaum joins DLA Piper’s Telecom Practice as principal focused on spectrum engineering and management

DLA Piper has added Zach Rosenbaum to the firm’s Telecom practice, part of the firm’s Regulatory and Government Affairs practice, as a principal in the Washington, DC office.

Rosenbaum joins from SES S.A., where he worked for more than 12 years, most recently as a vice president of Spectrum Management and Development. In that role, he was responsible for leading a team of engineers who managed and maintained the company’s global satellite constellation, in addition to managing relationships with the International Telecommunication Union as well as US and European regulatory authorities concerning spectrum and the introduction of new technologies.

Rosenbaum brings extensive engineering capabilities with respect to spectrum sharing techniques and the design and implementation of systems to comply with regulatory requirements. He also has substantial experience with interference modeling, including the use of Monte Carlo simulations and software development for coordination and interference resolution. Rosenbaum also played a leading role in the deployment of new technologies and sharing between terrestrial and satellite systems, with specific focus on coordinating between NGSO and GSO constellations.
