DLA Piper Charity Basketball Tournament 2024

The third annual DLA Piper Charity Basketball Tournament took place on September 22, 2024, at Shalva National Center in Jerusalem. Shalva, the Israel Association for the Care and Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, is dedicated to providing transformative care for individuals with disabilities, empowering their families, and promoting social inclusion. Eight top-tier Israeli law firms together raised 120NIS to support Shalva’s ‘Rising in Rank’ program, which enables young adults with disabilities to enlist in the IDF.

Last year’s second-place team, S. Horowitz & Co. won this year’s tournament, with last year’s winner Gornitzky taking second place. Other participating firms were Arnon, Tadmor-Levy; Epstein Rosenblum Maoz (ERM); Furth, Wilensky, Mizrachi, Knaani (FWMK) Law Offices; Herzog; Meitar Law Offices; and Naschitz, Brandes, Amir & Co.

A number of the ‘Rising in Rank’ soldiers participated in a half-time game and joined us for dinner after the tournament. Overall, it was an evening of camaraderie, healthy competition, and fun, underscored with warmth and love for each other, the soldiers, and Israel – especially meaningful during these extremely challenging times.
