EXPERIENCE

  • Advising a leading real estate investment client on a newly developed central London asset providing modern office accommodation and prime retail offerings in relation to all construction aspects, including landlord works (based on a range of JCT forms) such as a new flexible work-share space across multiple floors, lettings, and tenant fit-outs.
  • Advising a data centre client on its building contracts for data centres across Europe based on the FIDIC (Yellow and Red) forms which included works to a fully operational asset, as well as drafting ancillary documents and coordinating local counsel’s input into the documents.
  • Advising a global investment manager on its acquisition of a central London office asset and portfolio of prime retail and hospitality assets across London (including external financing on both acquisitions), and refurbishment works at an industrial asset.
  • Advising an OEM client, alongside local counsel, on a range of early engagement agreements entered into for offshore wind farms across the US and Asia, including preferred supplier agreements, capacity reservation agreements, and early works agreements, as well as the client’s localised supply chain investment strategies.
  • Advising a multinational civil and industrial engineering contractor on a conversion agreement for converting a front-end engineering design agreement to an EPC contract for a carbon capture plant at an existing waste to energy project in the Netherlands.
  • Developing a series of training workshops for a leading energy services contractor, based on a newly developed framework involving a consortium of parties for the development of offshore wind platforms and elements of onshore converter stations. The live project agreement and training was based on the FIDIC (2017, Silver Book) form, focusing on notices, claims and dispute resolution (including DAABs).
