Maximilian Viski-Hanka is a corporate attorney in DLA Piper’s Investment Funds practice with a deep knowledge of private fund formation and structuring as well as partnership, corporate, and international taxation.  Maximilian frequently advises fund sponsors on the launch and continued operation of both closed-end and open-ended funds across the asset classes and on the tax aspects related to the purchase and disposition of fund investments.

Maximilian Viski-Hanka is a corporate attorney in DLA Piper’s Investment Funds practice with a deep knowledge of private fund formation and structuring as well as partnership, corporate, and international taxation.  Maximilian frequently advises fund sponsors on the launch and continued operation of both closed-end and open-ended funds across the asset classes and on the tax aspects related to the purchase and disposition of fund investments. 

In addition to Maximilian’s fund formation and transactional tax work, he advises a diverse range of clients, including individuals, closely held corporations, family offices, non-U.S. individuals and businesses, and tax-exempt organizations with their respective tax planning strategies.

Maximilian earned his LL.M in taxation from the New York University School of Law where he was a Graduate Editor of the Tax Law Review.  Maximilian is a 2015 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law where he was elected to be a member of the Order of the Coif.  He speaks Hungarian and Spanish.
