Emily Snyder focuses her practice on representing institutions, investors, and entrepreneurial companies in all aspects of real estate capital markets. She specializes in federal, state, and international taxation, with an emphasis in partnership taxation, as well as general corporate planning, ownership and disposition of real estate, real estate and private equity financing and public and private securities offerings.
Emily has a broad range of experience in matters involving tax and real estate capital markets, including formation of domestic and international real estate private equity funds and representing developers and investors in transactions involving federal and state low-income housing tax credits and historic rehabilitation tax credits. Emily also has extensive experience representing REITs and other real estate owners in structuring and closing real estate joint venture transactions, many of which involve real estate development activities. Emily’s experience also includes advising clients with respect to a variety US federal and state tax controversy matters.
