Tom Lin represents clients in a variety of labor and employment matters, including allegations of wage and hour violations, complaints of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, misappropriation of trade secrets, corporate raiding, and unfair labor practices. His experience encompasses litigating individual, representative, and class action lawsuits before trial and appellate courts as well as appearing before federal and state administrative agencies. Tom also provides advice and counsel regarding the organizing process and negotiates on behalf of clients at the collective bargaining table.
In addition to his L&E practice, Tom represents clients in commercial business disputes, intellectual property theft, as well as white collar investigations and trials.
He maintains an active pro bono practice with numerous Bay Area non-profit clients, including the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California.
Tom clerked for the Honorable Edward M. Chen of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Goodwin H. Liu and Honorable Ming W. Chin (ret.), Associate Justices of the California Supreme Court.
He is a member of the Asian American Bar Association.
