Bernardo Custo heads DLA Piper Argentina's Infrastructure and Administrative Law groups.
Early in his legal career, Bernardo was legal counsel in the legal department of the Republic of Argentina's Ministry of Economy (1983—1984). Additionally, he was General Counsel at Socma Americana S.A. (1989—1993) and Legal Director at Sideco Americana S.A. (1994—1997).
He served on Sideco Americana's board of directors and on the board of directors and as legal controller of Sideco Americana's affiliated companies − Distribuidora de Gas del Centro S.A., Distribuidora de Gas Cuyana S.A., Autopistas del Sol S.A., Servicios Viales S.A., Lecsa S.A., Lineas de Transmisión del Litoral S.A., Manliba S.A., Aseo S.A., Creaurban S.A., Sideco Brasil S.A., Civilia Engenheria S.A. and Sistemas Ambientais S.A.
Bernardo also acted as legal representative (1997—2002) and served on the board of directors (2000—2001) at Correo Argentino S.A. and was the legal advisor at Socma Americana S.A. (2002—2004).
Since 2017, he has served as chairman of the board at Bapro Mandatos y Negocios S.A.
