DLA Piper advises Unilever on dual-track sale of iconic brands Conimex and Unox/Zwan

DLA Piper advised Unilever, a global leader in consumer goods, on the dual-track sale of two of its iconic brands. Binding offers were signed with Paulig Group to acquire Conimex and with Zwanenberg Food Group to acquire Unox and Zwan. These heritage brands are deeply rooted in Dutch and Belgian culture and household names for nearly a century.

DLA Piper’s multidisciplinary team, led by Henk Arnold Sijnja and Laura Smit, alongside experts from the M&A, IP, competition, and employment law teams, showcases DLA Piper's seamless teamwork and collaboration in corporate transactions.

We thank Unilever, all stakeholders and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. (Corporate Finance M&A) for their trust and Paulig Group, Zwanenberg Food Group, BarentsKrans, De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, Rabobank, Squarefield, and Houlihan Lokey for their cooperation. This partnership underscores the power of collaboration and our commitment to delivering outstanding results for our clients.
