DLA Piper advises Banorte in providing US$51 million financing to Mota-Engil México for Metrorrey Project construction

DLA Piper México represented Banco Mercantil del Norte, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, Grupo Financiero Banorte (Banorte), the second largest bank in Mexico, in a US$51 million loan granted to Mota-Engil, Mota-Engil México, S.A.P.I. de C.V. (Mota-Engil), the Mexican subsidiary of Portuguese infrastructure and construction company, for the construction and operation of the Metrorrey Project. 

Banorte provided financing to Mota Engil México to recover already incurred construction costs and to finance current and future construction costs related to the construction and operation of the new lines 4, 5 and 6 of the City of Monterrey subway.
