DLA Piper Canada and lawyers shortlisted for 2024 LMG Life Sciences Awards

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP has been shortlisted as Product Liability Firm of the Year (Canada) by the LMG ‎Life Sciences Awards 2024.‎

One of the most respected awards programs for life sciences practitioners and firms in the United ‎States, Canada and Europe, awardees are determined through a rigorous research process that aims to ‎survey excellent legal service. This year, David Neave and Geoff Mowatt have been shortlisted in the ‎area of individual practitioner awards:‎

Geoff Mowatt - Regulatory Attorney of the Year (Canada): Geoff Mowatt has an intellectual property law ‎and litigation practice with a focus on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, as well as regulatory ‎and compliance advice for life sciences companies. Geoff provides strategic advice to innovative life ‎sciences clients on regulatory and compliance issues for pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical ‎devices. His experience includes life cycle management and data protection, product and establishment ‎licensing, Form IV patent listing, Certificates of Supplemental Protection, approval pathways, drug ‎advertising, drug reimbursement/pricing, and the implications of international trade agreements.‎

David Neave - Product Liability Attorney of the Year (Canada): David is Co-Chair of the Canadian Class ‎Action Defence group.‎ David’s defence work includes defending class action and individual claims  ‎brought against international airlines, ‎motor vehicle manufacturers, multinational technology companies, ‎‎international pharmaceutical ‎companies of prescription and OTC drugs, ‎medical product and device ‎manufacturers, global insurance ‎companies, forest products companies, international educational ‎‎‎publishers, food manufacturers and specialty chemical and raw material manufacturers‎.  ‎
