DLA Piper leads African M&A in 2023

DLA Piper, together with its DLA Piper Africa offices, this year achieved the number one legal advisor position across Africa & the Middle East, according to Mergermarket's league tables. Despite a subdued market for global M&A in 2023, DLA Piper completed more deals than any other firm.

Each year, the business intelligence provider Mergermarket identifies the commercial law firms that have provided leading advice on company acquisitions and sales in the past twelve months. DLA Piper was involved in 1,062 transactions worldwide in 2023, valued at approximately USD60.6 billion, thus achieving the number 1 spot globally, for the 14th year running.
