DLA Piper Canada welcomes partner Raj Dewan
DLA Piper Canada is pleased to announce that Rajeev “Raj” Dewan has joined our Toronto office as a partner in the Capital Markets group. Raj is a leading business lawyer with a thriving capital markets and cross-border practice. He acts on behalf of emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs in key growth sectors, including eSports, fintech, healthcare, mining, and technology, providing them with strategic advice on a variety of matters, including going public transactions, financings, cross-border M&A, international joint ventures, and corporate governance.
Raj is actively focused on cross-border transactions and international listings between North America, Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. He regularly advises merchant banks, family offices, and emerging growth companies based in Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa on going public and M&A in North America.
Raj is a recent appointee to the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) Venture Exchange’s Listing Advisory Committee (Ontario), which advises senior management at the TSX Venture Exchange on policy developments and trends in the capital markets. Raj also recently served on the Ontario Securities Commission’s Small and Medium Enterprises Committee and is a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), one of the largest global entrepreneur organizations based in Silicon Valley.
