DLA Piper welcomes Benjamin Galea as a partner in the firm’s Private Equity practice

DLA Piper is pleased to welcome Chicago-based partner Benjamin Galea to the firm’s Private Equity practice.

Galea represents middle-market private equity funds and their portfolio companies in a variety of complex business transactions, including leveraged buyouts, add-on acquisitions, recapitalizations and divestitures. He has extensive experience advising clients in their roll-up strategies, particularly in the healthcare and food and beverage industries.

Some of his notable recent experience includes representing a private equity fund in the acquisition of a branded salad dressings and dips business; representing a private equity fund in the acquisition of a medical equipment reseller; and representing a private equity fund in the sale of its eye care management services organization. 

“Ben is a notable middle-market private equity practitioner with a great record of effectively advising private equity funds and their portfolio companies,” said Joey Silver, Global co-chair and US chair of the Private Equity practice.
