DLA Piper is pleased to announce that the firm received a USA Distressed M&A Deal of the Year Award from Global M&A Network in recognition of its representation of EYP in its chapter 11 case, led by Richard Chesley, the firm’s managing partner of the Americas and co-US managing partner, and partner Oksana Koltko Rosaluk. Rachel Ehrlich Albanese, chair of DLA Piper’s US Restructuring practice, was also named a 2023 Top Woman Dealmaker by Global M&A Network.
DLA Piper was recognized as part of Global M&A Network’s annual USA M&A Atlas Awards for its role advising on the in-court sale of substantially all of the assets of EYP Group Holdings, Inc., one of the largest full-service architecture, engineering, and interior design firms in the country, and its affiliates to Page Southerland Page, Inc., in a successful professional services firm chapter 11 case. The sale closed in June 2022.
Albanese was selected as a 2023 Top Woman Dealmaker in recognition of her record of advising on high-profile transactions, her leadership and decades of industry experience, and her involvement with several organizations focused on empowering women. In her practice, she represents debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, equity holders, purchasers of distressed assets, and other parties in a wide range of restructuring matters, including cases under chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code, out-of-court workouts, cross-border insolvency proceedings and PROMESA title III cases.
