DLA Piper Canada ranked in Legal 500 Canada 2023

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP has 41 lawyers listed across 14 practice areas in the 2023 edition of the Legal 500 Canada. The firm once more received Tier 1 rankings for our Infrastructure and Projects, Aviation and Rail and Road practice groups.

Congratulations to Andrew McFarlane, who has received his first Leading Lawyer ranking for Transportation, as well as to those lawyers who repeated their Lead Lawyer ranking this year: Ian Bendell (Projects), Andrew Burton (Projects), Michael Ford, K.C. (Employment), Forrest Hume (Transportation), Catherine Pawluch (Transportation), Sangeetha Punniyamoorthy (IP), Laura Safran, K.C. (Transportation) and Bruce Stratton (IP).

Rebecca von Rüti (Dispute Resolution) and Bentley Gaikis (IP) were recognized as Next Generation Partners for the first time and Robert Fonn was recognized as a Next Generation Partner for both Corporate and Cannabis law for the second year in a row. Our Rising Stars for the 2023 guide are Katrina Edgerton-McGhan (Dispute Resolution), Jonathon Ward (Employment) and Michal Kasprowicz (IP).

The Legal 500 series is widely acknowledged as one of the world’s largest legal referral guides, with the Canada guide recognizing the best Canadian firms and lawyers practising within the Canadian market. Results are based on extensive research conducted by the directory over the course of the year, including in-depth submissions and thousands of interviews with client and industry leaders
