DLA Piper launches indexing product for businesses to score against D&I best practice
DLA Piper has launched its D&I Index to help employers benchmark themselves against best practice on diversity and inclusion (D&I). By completing a short series of questions, the D&I index will generate scores and give red, amber or green ratings against the key D&I areas of policies; training; recruitment; inclusive culture; reward and leadership. In addition, the D&I index will provide insights on an employer’s legal obligations when it comes to compliance with equality laws in the UK.
Taking only minutes to complete, the D&I index includes the option of generating a tailored report as a useful point of reference for identifying measures to develop and improve an employer’s approach to D&I. The free D&I index tool will collect anonymised data to identify sector wide trends and themes when it comes to D&I.
Gurpreet Duhra, DLA Piper Employment partner who led the project to deliver the D&I index tool, said: “D&I is a top priority for most organisations, which recognise its importance as a key component of an effective ESG framework. We wanted to design a product for employers to quickly and easily evaluate where they are on their D&I journey and identify priority areas to improve and develop. The D&I Index delivers against this objective and enables employers from any sector or size in the UK to quickly gain valuable insights in a user friendly way and take corrective action where necessary.”
