DLA Piper advises on Prime Capital’s acquisition of the 192MW Lappfjard project in Finland

DLA Piper has advised Prime Capital AG and Prime Green Energy Infrastructure Fund S.A. SICAV-RAIF on the acquisition of the 192 MW Lappfjärd wind farm from CPC Finland.

The project will comprise 31 wind turbines with a total capacity of 192 MW, situated in in Kristiinankaupunki, Finland. CPC Finland will provide engineering, procurement, and construction services.

DLA Piper advised on all aspects of the due diligence, acquisition and construction agreements.

Lead partner Fredrik Lindblom (London) commented: “We are delighted to have advised Prime Capital and PGEIF again, building on our previous collaboration for their joint investment with Enlight Renewable Energy in the 372MW Björnberget wind project, which closed in Q4 2020.

Antti Niemi, lead partner in Finland added “This is a significant renewable energy transaction in the Nordics, Once constructed, the wind farm will have an annual production which could cover the electricity consumption of about 200,000 households.
