Prof. Erik Lutjens is experienced in the area of pension law in the Dutch legal practice.
He advises large pension funds, the Dutch government and financial institutions on pension issues. Erik has more than 25 years of experience and has been lecturing at VU University in Amsterdam, where he was appointed Professor in Pension Law in 1992.

Erik is the editor-in-chief of the magazine Pensioen & Praktijk and editor of various publications on pension matters such as Tijdschrift voor Pensioenvraagstukken, Pensioenjurisprudentie and Pensioenactualiteiten. He is also the author of various books, including Pension Act, analysis and comments (Pensioenwet, analyse en commentaar), which addresses the new pension law that was implemented in 2007. Erik regularly speaks at conferences and gives lectures on pension law.
