In its 2021 Best Law Firms rankings, U.S. News & World Report names DLA Piper among the top intellectual property and technology firms in the nation. The list, published in late 2020, recognizes DLA Piper in all ranked areas of IP and technology law: patent, trademark, copyright, information technology, commercial, franchise, media, and privacy and data security law.

In its methodology, U.S. News asked clients across major metropolitan areas and nationally about their law firms’ responsiveness, understanding of business needs, cost-effectiveness, civility, and whether they would refer another client to the firm.
